The key to finding someone you trust is finding someone that truly cares about making a difference in our currently jacked up healthcare system. It’s the difference between a sales person and an advisor/consultant… One is passionate about making money and the other is passionate about making a difference… In the world of insurance a lot of people carry the title of “Consultant”… but not a lot of people take on the fiduciary responsibilities associated with that title… This is where the whole “caring about making a difference” thing comes in... If I care about making a difference then I care about knowing all the options… if I know all the options then I can confidently explain them to the individuals and business owners who need to know the truth in order to make the best decision.

Is it "For the people by the people" or is the reality "For the government by the corporation(s)" - This was something that I posted about 2 years ago... back door deals between the white house and the pharmaceutical industry!! Large corporations buying their way out of being affected by the Health Care Bill in exchange for an industry wide endorsement???
CLICK HERE to see full article I'm afraid if Tennesseans do not secure an individual health insurance policy prior to 2014 (Individual Coverage Mandate starts 01-01-14) they'll rush to an "Exchange" offering healthcare insurance options (to healthy consumers) that are just as "un-affordable" as group (employer sponsored) health insurance coverage is today.
Why? Glad you asked... Lets take a look at the cost to purchase individual health insurance coverage in Massachusetts: "[They]have the highest individual premiums in the country. The average Massachusetts resident trying to find insurance in the individual market faced monthly premiums of $437 per person last year, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation." - quote from politico.com news story about costs in Massachusetts. Read more: CLICK HERE It is no secret that Romney's Massachusetts Healthcare Reform Policy and Obama's National Healthcare Reform Policy are similar in comparison... The most significant similarity, and something that all healthcare consumers should be informed on, is how both policies include the setting up of consumer health insurance exchanges while simultaneously issuing an individual mandate. A mandate? Yes, all U.S. citizens are required by law to be covered by a comprehensive medical plan. Or, better stated as it pertains to you, the consumer: If you do not pay (or have your employer pay) an insurance company to cover your medical expenses you will be financially penalized by the federal government... YES! Even if you have made the consumer choice to not purchase health insurance coverage, either because you "self pay" for your health care or because you do not actually incur expenses to pay for health care, you will when the IRS requires you pay the federal government a penalty fee Essentially, starting 01-01-14, you'll have to pay one of 2 entities; either an insurance company or the federal government. And, because we can thank Mitt Romney for giving us MA as a model comparison, we can be fairly certain that the cost to purchase individual coverage will not only not get any more affordable but will most likely increase significantly. There’s one thing no one is telling you about our current Healthcare Problems…
(While Washington has initiated dialogue to address the unmanageable costs of medical care, there’s one factor that no one is addressing - I will get to this shortly) This may be the most important bit of information you could get on this subject… Because whether you’re working for a large corporation, running a small business, or happen to be unemployed, there is a good chance you are paying more money for healthcare than you should. It seems to be a problem with no apparent solution. So what is the solution??? I could get really boring and go into a whole bunch of info filled with insurance jargon and other mumbo jumbo but instead I’ll sum it up by saying this: there have been several laws and tax incentives passed by congress in the past 10 yrs that could potentially decrease an individuals out of pocket healthcare expenses by $2,000 to $8,000 per year. Most health insurance reps have not taken the time to adequately understand these coverages which can ultimately help the consumer evaluate their best options. We believe that the key piece to this puzzle of fighting down extreme health insurance costs is YOU, the American consumer, who throughout history has been able to adapt and overcome all types of obstacles. We believe that with the right tools and knowledge everybody can play a role in busting up the currently broken system. As we launch NEW consumer health insurance solutions we have made some commitments. Instead of boring you by listing them out I’ll just sum them up by saying this: We are dedicated to busting up the “old school” approach of the greedy, fat insurance agent. We will do this by providing businesses and individuals with the resources needed to ensure that they are not contributing to the problem but teaming up with us to become a part of the solution. Keep in the loop on how to become part of the solution by checking out these future posts: 1. Understand All of Your Options 2. Get Someone You Trust to help you understand your options 3. Make a Decision to become a part of the Solution |
